I support water efficiency and welcome your proposal. I also believe that we have to plan for an expanded ageing population

Housing should be of a decent size and quality and AFFORDABLE. With an aging population there should be a good number of properties suitable for older / disabled people. Public Transport should be looked at, also schools, health facilities etc.

Regarding 11.8, I believe all new dwellings should be built to provide disabled access. It is not sufficient for the disabled to have access to their own properties. They also require free access to the homes of their friends and families, along with accessible toilet provision.

The need for latest technology in building these homes should not be overlooked. Bills that can be reduced by good insulation, quality windows and doors, solar panels and wind power are important for the occupants of new homes. Disabled access and adaptions in new homes are equally important. It is good the Council is looking at 10% minimum of all new homes to be Disabled friendly.
